I'm thankful as hell though that he does. We all should be. Well, things are not so clear for him. He informed the thread that his latest support package at the time might be his last if he couldn't find a replacement battery for his machine.
That was the last thing that I've heard from him. The point to take from this is that I think it's safe to say that this thread owes a lot to both RehabMan and Andrw for everything that they've done over the years.
I know that I owe them both. This post has grown to be a monster but I wanted to document this because I think it's important for anyone viewing the thread.

I don't know what the future of this thread will be but I want to take a moment to reflect on all the crazy things that have happened with it over the years. The CPU and GPUs were completely unsupported, the chipset was a compatibility nightmare and almost nothing for the machine worked but I didn't care. I had been poorly, lol putting together 'hackmacs' since ish when I first realized that I could using As far HP Envy 17t-1000 CTO Notebook Atheros WLAN I knew at the time, no other Haswell-based laptop support threads existed or at least, I couldn't find any so I started this one with the plan of both documenting my own findings and with the hopes of learning about possible solutions to the many problems that my ENVY brought to me.
It is amazing how far that we've come and I owe it all to this thread and the wonderful people in it.
Thankfully, our toys are currently supported on Thank you to everyone who came along for the ride and especially to those few who helped make it less bumpy along the way! RehabMan has been hard at work and has created a much better, more reliable method for both current and possibly future OS X installs.
His new method, named the "hotpatch" method is far superior to our old ones and should rightfully take its place. Following is HP Envy 17t-1000 CTO Notebook Atheros WLAN direct link to his detailed and extensive guide to assist both current and future users with their adventures in OS X. There may be unforeseen problems or issues that I was unable to expect or resolve. The HP Envy 17 3D under review is an entry-level configuration now available in the United States and can be considered quite the bang for the buck in terms of included hardware and feature sets.
This omission is however understandable, since non-TN, 3D-compatible panels are still scarce. However, this is where most of the visual similarities end. There is no latch to keep the lid in place, but it stays firmly shut thanks to ample resistance in the hinges.
Review: HP Envy 17 3D (Early 2012)
The lid cannot be opened degrees--it stops at an approximate to degree angle. Fortunately, no individual parts of the chassis exhibit HP Envy 17t-1000 CTO Notebook Atheros WLAN such as wobbly hinges or unseemly gaps. There is, however, a moderate amount of flex if you twist the two ends of the lid. Disassembling the Envy 17 for HP Envy 17t-1000 CTO Notebook Atheros WLAN is a simple process. A single latch underneath the laptop gives you immediate access to hard drive s and battery, while six small screws stand in the way of access to the two RAM slots and other internal components. Blu-ray, 2x USB 3. On the left side there are two USB 3. A potential problem with the USB ports is that they sit very tightly together — something that might cause problems when one of the ports is in use and you want to connect a thumb drive to the one next to it. This makes it difficult to use insert anything much wider than a regular USB cable.

Having the display ports closer to the front edge is also a bit awkward, since there is no easy way to hide protruding cables when the laptop is hooked up to an external display. Having these video ports in the rear is generally preferable, but unfortunately the build style of the Envy 17 prevents such a layout.
